GP is perfect for companies that require a robust, “out-of-the-box” solution. Implementations and upgrades are efficient and relatively inexpensive. The product may be customized, but this is not its architectural design. In house IT personnel are not required to support GP. GP offers excellent tools for interface to other business systems. Overlapping Features Among The Four Dynamics ERP Products |

The scopes of Microsoft’s four ERP packages overlap. For example, all packages serve small, moderate and enterprise sized companies. All include feature suites/modules for financials, distribution, manufacturing, service/maintenance and job/project/engineering services applications. All use the SQL database and SQL Reporting Services, and all utilize Microsoft Office, infrastructure and internet technologies. Furthermore, the various Dynamics products are complemented by different ISV products that offer similar (i.e. competitive) features.
